WHAT IS YOUR NAME?

My name is Abdulkadir Aminat, 100l

HOW DO YOU COMBINE YOUR MUSICAL CAREER AND ACADEMICS?

Hmm….. To be sincere it is not easy at all. Sometimes my classes clash with studio sessions, but then it has to be my education first. I would not at early stage of my life to misplace priorities because that is what is killing most young artiste today. An uneducated mind is like a man with no life. My academics come first and all others can come after that. My doing well in m studies would reflect on my career. My good academic life refines and fine tunes my career. So my academics first.

WHY RAP OF ALL GENRES OF MUSIC?

I grew up listening to rap music. I love the punch lines and the use of words b rappers. And there is this saying that Hip hop is dead. I love being part of the resurrection team. Rap is what I love and I love doing it. Rap allows you to express yourself b using words. Rappers command the use of word. Before you can rap well, you must be literary inclined. You need a good command of literature because you are expected to use words indirectly and give your listeners the modicum of discretion to know what you are talking about. Rap is tasking, so also life is. I love doing rap.

As a girl doing rap I do tell myself that someday I would be a musical star icon. I want to be the first Nigerian female rapper that would enter the billboards, so that I can inspire other ladies to do rap. Whatever a man does, a woman is at his heels to do it better.

HOW HAVE YOU BEEN COPING ON CAMPUS AS AN ARTISTE?

I try as much as possible to keep everything real, simple, fresh and different. Though some people
believe I am full of myself but I think it is a different story for those that know me better. I receive
nice and annoying comments from people but in either case all is well. It is not too good for
someone to be judge from afar.

WHERE DO YOU WANT TO SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS

I want to be known everywhere in my country. I want to be that female rapper that would inspire all other persons that comes her way. I want to be in the mama awards, on tight videos, nice concerts and a good recording deal. I want to be everywhere to inspire. I believe persistency is the key. I would not stop trying if I fail because for you to be successful for years to come, you must be read to face the challenges involved.

ANY MESSAGE TO YOUR FANS OUT THERE?

Not until now, I do not think there were peeps I could call fans. I take everyone who appreciates
my music as a friend. I would only tell my friends out there to be prayerful in everything they do.
Let’s seek the kingdom of God first in everything will do. Life is not easy but easy does it. Never stop because men say no. I love you all.
